Coachella Catwalk

Well, one of the coolest festivals has been and the fashion stakes were high this year for what always turns out to be a weekend of new trends and style rules for us to follow for the rest of the season. The fail safe staple of cut off Levis and cow boy boots were still out in full force but, interestingly, the key look was boho luxe with a wave of floaty maxis, fringed waistcoats and floral headbands. The 70s was definitely the era of the weekend so for your own festival fun think hippy chic and chilled out vibes...

NOTE: If you don't have a pair of suede ankle boots you may as well not turn up!

Final Note: 70s Fever may be upon us but Lyndsy Lohan's white lace platforms may be a tottery step too far!

Do Dior

After a much anticipated wait Raf Simons has been appointed as the new creative director of Dior! While our pennies might not quite stretch to Dior at this stage in the month, it’s the trickle-down effect into high street collections which will be so exciting to watch! Simons' previous collections for Jil Sander have seen neon become queen and fuller skirts and pretty pastels all now taking this season by storm. This shows his influence and also how promising his work at Dior will be!

With his aim to look back to the era between 1947-1957, whilst adding a modern twist it promises to be every vintage lover’s dream! If this hasn’t got you excited about the future of Dior then I don’t know what will. Perhaps we may see something like this stunning vintage Dior mod dress being reinvented - swoon! Be quick to snap up this one off piece of Dior history and become part of a brand that constantly creates fashion masterpieces!

Packing A Paisley Punch

With the Cowgirl western trend striding into the catwalks this season, paisley is firmly back in the saddle. From luxurious silk summer tops to fun bold printed shawls and bags this is a wonderful look to rock. A sexy vintage inspired 70s maxi dress is a great way to make the most of the print and with the nations obsession with bold colours still going strong you can really make your piece pop. However, if all over punchy paisley power is not your thing, think small and add a classic silk scarf to your outfit either traditionally round your neck or how about as a belt with a maxi skirt and vest top combo - laid back bo ho cool! However you choose to work it, make the most of this wonderfully retro print craze.

To The Max-i!

Everyone needs one and this season we love this black and gold embroidered 70s vintage style maxi dress! The butterfly cut out decoration is just stunning and the capped sleeves and nipped in waist make for a really flattering cut.

Maxis are awesome mainly because:

1. They are the ultimate dress up dress down item. Stacked wedges for the former and flip flops for the latter.

2. They hide the fact that your shaving routine has not caught up with the hot weather.

3. They are festival fodder and look flipping wonderful with an over the shoulder satchel, a battered denim cropped jacket and stacks of bangles.

4. They ooze laid back boho 70s cool. Enough said.

Maxi-mise!
